Implants

Dental Implants are man-made replacements for tooth roots and serve as the anchor for replacement teeth. Implants allow you to function more normally than conventional dentures or bridges and can be the foundation for greatly improved smiles, overall facial appearance, and improved quality of life.

Dental implants can provide a level of self-confidence that dentures, bridges, and other conventional kinds of tooth replacements cannot. Eating, smiling, and speaking are as normal as with natural teeth. When you lose your teeth, your jawbone can shrink, making you look older and other teeth can shift from their natural place resulting in gaps between the remaining teeth. Dental implants can help prevent this process by preserving facial structure and helping to prevent bone loss.

Implants are anchored into or on top of the jaw bone. After an initial period of healing they are used to secure temporary and then final “teeth”. They behave exactly like real roots- even bonding naturally with the jawbone. The entire procedure from evaluation to completion will usually take anywhere from one to several months.

Start today by asking us if you might be a candidate for implants. We’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have about implantology. As an active member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, we are well-informed and dedicated to the highest level of professional care.
