Family Dentistry

The American Dental Association recommends that we all visit the dentist for a professional check up and cleaning twice a year, at a minimum. For those who may be facing a specific concern, such as gum disease, visits that are more frequent may be most beneficial. At All Dental, we provide high quality dental care for every member of your family, ranging from the youngest to the oldest. Extensively trained and aptly experienced, our team is able to give every patient the kind of care needed for optimal oral health and a pleasant dental experience.

The area of family dentistry is where preventative and restorative measures are taken. Dr. Noor and staff will conduct a comprehensive evaluation, including digital x-rays, during routine examinations. Prevention of gum disease and tooth decay may be handled through professional cleanings, as well as tips for at-home care. Restorations found in family dentistry include tooth-colored fillings, inlays and onlays when large areas of decay are present, dental crowns, and dental bridges. Because our practice includes a diversely trained staff and an on-site laboratory, we are able to provide most, if not all of the services our patients may need throughout their time under our care.

Dental fillings, which are necessary when a tooth or teeth that have been damaged by decay, are a common form of treatment in family dentistry. Before removing damaged tooth surface, we apply a local anesthetic to numb the treatment area. For patients who experience dental anxiety, this procedure can be performed with nitrous oxide. We have recently discovered where amalgam fillings are lacking, and science has responded by coming up with innovative new ways to fill cavities. At All Dental, we provide composite restorations, which not only look better, but also provide a more durable, longer lasting fit than is possible with amalgam. Bonded fillings take a few minutes longer than silver amalgam fillings, and may not be fully covered by insurance. The payoff, however, is enormous, when you consider that the smile is not impacted by the appearance of dark fillings, and the restored tooth maintains its structure far better with dental composites.
